Marvel Studios is known for producing entertaining and high quality films based on the stories from Marvel Comics. No one will deny the fact they have succeeded in delivering a marvellous cinematic universe which is called by the name "Marvel Cinematic Universe" compared to DC. However DC have more great stuffs in comics. But Marvel cracked the code of making great movies out of their comics. In this article, we will try to give a brief overview about the upcoming movies in Marvel's lineup especially about the movies in phase 4 of MCU that are going to release this year.

The "TV Series" connect in MCU
Marvel planned to expand their universe not just through films but also through some TV Series. Recently they have released two web series which are "Wanda vision" and "The Falcon and the Winter Soldier" in Disney+Hotstar and the web series "Loki" is going to release soon in the same platform.

After the event of destroying Thanos, the couple of Wanda Maximoff and Vision moved to New Jersey to lead a happy life by hiding their identity. The events that took place after this forms the rest of the series. This series focuses on the relationship between the powerful and weird couple of Wanda and Vision.

Timeline: Six months after the Avengers: The Endgame
This series focuses on establishing Falcon and Winter Soldier as promising super heroes in the absence of Iron Man and Captain America: Steve Rogers. And there is an interesting play of who is going to be the next Captain America throughout the series.
We all confused after Steve Rogers handled his shield to Falcon. We all had a question whether he is a good choice to be the next Captain America. Marvel cleverly planned this series and successfully established Falcon as the next Captain America.
Also there is an interesting character of John Walker who slowly turned into a negative character at the end of the series. This series also establishes Bucky's strong connect with the wakandans.

Marvel is initiating the MCU Phase 4 with a stand alone movie for the famous character in Avengers, Black Widow (Natasha Romenoff). Black Widow died in the endgame then how there be a movie for her now? This movie's timeline is after civil war and before infinity war. This movie is a quest of Natasha to her past and her reunion with some old relationships. In this she will take on a new challenge as spy.
Before becoming an Avenger, she worked as a spy. This movie is more of a spy thriller than a superhero genre. It is touted to be a very unique film in MCU. And Marvel's super villain Task master marks his debut in MCU through this film. Let's wait and see.

Shang-Chi and the Legend of Ten Rings

Marvel is introducing a new super hero named Shang chi in MCU through this movie. After Avengers: The Endgame, MCU is expanding the universe with new characters in their upcoming movies. In MCU phase 4, we will have some brand new super heroes.
Shang Chi and the legend of ten rings is the origin story of the powerful superhero Shang Chi. As the trailers suggest, this movie will present to us how Shang Chi acquires the ten powerful rings from his father, Wenwu aka Mandarin. Yes, you read it right Shang Chi's father is the real Mandarin. Earlier in Iron Man 3, we got to see a fake Mandarin. Marvel fans went into a frenzy when they spotted the powerful supervillain Abomination in the latest trailer of Shang Chi.
The appearance of this Hulk's supervillain in Shang Chi guarantees that the Marvel universe is expanding in an exciting way. This movie is the 25th movie in MCU and this is the first movie where an Asian actor plays the lead role in a Marvel movie. Simu Liu plays the lead. The trailers guarantee us that this will be an unique movie with Marvel's own style and some great soundtracks. I personally liked the trailer soundtrack. There are so many things special about this movie. Can't wait for the release.

This movie is the introduction of powerful immortal alien race Eternals in MCU. Again we get see a number of new superheroes in MCU. This superhero team is very powerful. All these years they lived silently in Earth without revealing their identity and help humans to evolve.
Now their time has finally come as they have to save the world from their deadliest counterparts called the Deviants. The trailer ensures that this is going to be one of the visually stunning movies in MCU with more real and beautiful locations.
In the Eternals there is a superhero character from India. Pakistani actor, Kumail plays this roke. But what's disappointing as a Marvel fan from India is there are many talented actors who can play this role. Let's see what Kumail Nanjani offers to this role. This film has a stellar star cast including Angelina Jolie, Don Lee, Richard Madden and others. Already excited to witness this visual spectacle in the later half of this year.

Spiderman: No way home

Timeline: Probably 1 year after the events of Avengers: The Endgame (Unofficial)
So far Marvel revealed only the title logo for this movie. They haven't revealed much. In this movie, Spiderman is set to take on the mighty supervillain team The sinister six. The presence of Doctor Strange in this movie is confirmed and it kindled the curiousity of fans as something related to Multiverse is going to be there for sure.
And it is also being rumoured that Spidermen from other universe such as Toby Maguire and Andrew Garfield are said to make an appearance in this film. If that happens it is going to be a blast. Another theory states that the villains in sinister six come from various universes and they said to trapped in this universe.
The title No way home is said to be chosen interms of the villains. To get answers to all these questions we have to wait till this Christmas. Let's wait and see.
