Here we listed some of the important sightseeing in Kodaikanal  

1) Lisk chocolates:  

 

               One of the things that we  used to buy in the hill stations are the home made chocolates. While we are exploring Kodaikanal we accidentally witness this shop. We are just awestruck by their wide range of chocolate and candy varieties. Besides they also have the nuts and natural oils too! . Pricing of the chocolates ranging from 600-4000 INR/Kg of chocolates (pricing as of June 2022)

A must try worthy chocolate paradise in the town!

2) La Saleth Church: 

           La Saleth Church in Kodaikanal is the must visit spot there. This church was built in the year 1865 and the construction work was completed in the year 1866. This church was well known for its antiquity and exemplary architecture. Lawn like structure in the entrance adds beauty to the Church.

3) Pillar rock:  

             

                 The place got its name due to the pillar like structure of the rocks. One of the best site seeing experience out there in Kodaikanal.  Only 5 INR will be charged as ticket fee for the maintaining the spot Ticket price as of June 2022)

4) Pine Forest: 

                     Pine forest the heart of 'Queen of Hills'. One who want to visit kodaikanal must have to visit the pine forest for its beautiful alignment of pine trees.

The visiting hours: 10AM to 6PM 

ENTRY FEE: Completely free 

5) Dolphin Nose view point:


            We recommend this Dolphin Nose view point for those who want some adventurous trekking experience. One should have to trek nearly 2km to reach this point. This trekking experience is not suitable for people those who are all having back pain and joint pain issues.  

This is the trekking way for  Dolphin nose point and please be very careful while trekking. After the tough trek, you will get a once in a life time experience as the beauty and serenity of Dolphins nose point will blow your mind. If you are able to go through such tough trek, don't miss this.

6) Moir point

            One of the beautiful places that we had visited in Kodaikanal is the 'Moir Point'. It is one of the places in kodaikanal which is situated in highest altitude. The trekking way is just breathtaking with lots of twists and turns. The moir view point is just surrounded by the majestic beauty of the mountains and burgeon of foliage. Note that don't visit moir point on the later part of the day, as there will be increasing mobility of bison. This applies to pine forest as well.  

7)  Botanical garden:

        One of the prime spot in kodaikanal is the Botanical garden. The botanical garden is just endowed with thousand of plant species and some of the rare animal species protected in its natural habitat. This botanical garden is a visual treat to the eyes. The entry fee was charged as 30 INR for adults and 20INR for children as of July 2022. 



8) Coakers walk:

        Coakers walk is a beautiful strech where you can witness beautiful scenery while walking . There you can able to see lots of road side shops and vendors selling goods, handicrafts and other food items alongside the coakers walk. There we can able to see some of the rarest birds species and animal through telescope. And we can able to enjoy cloudy view of mountains while walking. Don't miss this if you want to shop and experience something breathtaking at the same time. 


9) Kodai lake:


               This is one of the famous spots in Kodaikanal. This manmade lake is located at the centre of Kodaikanal. Surrounding this lake there are numerous shops selling chocolates, apparels and much more. Boating is available. Cycling facility is also available. You can rent a cycle and ride through the streets surrounding the lake.  


10) Bear Shola falls: 


This beautiful small falls is definitely one of the spots not to miss. This serene place is located around 3 km from kodai lake. If you want a private spot that doesn't have much crowd, this spot is for you. But this falls also gaining it's popularity now attracting crowd. 

11) Liril falls:


This is another small falls surrounded by beautiful scenery. Like, bear shola falls this is also a private spot that doesn't have much crowd. Most of the tourists won't know this beautiful spot. Don't miss this.
