OTT platform meaning is over the top, that is delivering film and television content through Internet directly.

Maanadu - Venkat Prabhu and team to start their political campaign from tomorrow 

On the occasion of Silambarasan TR birthday,  Maanadu teaser is set to storm YouTube from tomorrow. Director Venkat Prabhu revealed that this is his best script. Excited to see the glimpse mainly for Young maestro Yuvan’s bgm and STR's screen presence. Interesting triva about Maanadu is that it is mostly a story about a guy who supplies biriyani packets in political gathering and this story was told earlier to Thalapathy Vijay as revealed by VP in an old interview.

Doctor - Operation to start earlier than expected

Doctor starring Sivakarthiyan, directed by Nelson and music by rockstar Anirudh was scheduled to release on April this year. Now SK took his twitter handle to announce that Doctor is going to release on March 26th. The reason for this preponement is mostly due to the confidence they gained from Master's success in theatrical release. Apart from SK fans, thalapathy fans are also eagerly waiting for Doctor to see thalapathy 65 director's work.

Thalapathy Vijay - Master of Hearts

After lot of drama, Master directly released in theatres during this Pongal and revived theatre business with its extraordinary run. Inspite of having mixed reviews, Master brought profit to the producer, distributors and exhibitors in its glorious run of two weeks. Theatre video of fans enjoying the movie is evident for the movie’s success. As the movie is yet to release in many overseas countries, producer decided to release the movie early in OTT followed by a big offer from Amazon Prime. Amazon Prime suddenly announced Master OTT release date as 29^th January through their twitter handle along with a trailer. Master became a succesful venture in OTT release also.

Master directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, starring Thalapathy Vijay and Makkal Selvan Vijay Sethupathi is one of the intensely staged film true to the words of the director. Also it is an unique “Vijay” film as he played a flawed character after a long time that too during the peak of his stardom. Thalapathy Vijay lived in the role of JD, an alcoholic who is working as a professor in a reputed institute where he pursued psychology degree (PhD in educational psychology).

Apart from the great entertainment value, this movie speaks about drug abuse which is  in a place that has more alcohol consumption by country. The impact of this subtle message is huge in the movie as JD being an alcoholic himself who attains a rehab in the high point of the film. In fact, the observation home where JD goes is like a rehab center for him. Apart from Thalapathy Vijay’s performance and Lokesh’s brilliance, Anirudh’s intense music and Sathyan Sooryan’s outstanding cinematography are major pillars of Master. Especially Sathyan Sooryan is a great support for Lokesh for the digital transformation of his script. Not to forget Vijay Sethupathi’s fierce performance as Bhavani. Master is now taking class in both theatres and Amazon prime with full attendance. Rockstar Anirudh recently tweeted that the much awaited Original Sound Track of Master is going to release soon. Many ringtone materials awaited.

Valimai – A short break for Thala

After a hectic schedule in Hyderabad, H Vinoth is shooting some scenes without Thala Ajith as he was given a short break before the foreign schedule. During this break, Thala visited Sikkim in his bike.

Valimai is the second association of Thala Ajith and H Vinoth after Nerkonda Paarvai where Thala played the role of an earnest lawyer. Valimai is touted to be an action thriller with a real life connect. Eagerly waiting for Yuvan Shankar Raja’s Background score.

 

Thalapathy 65 – Is it a unique role for thalapathy?

Thalapthy 65, the next movie of Thalapathy Vijay, directed by Nelson Dhilipkumar of COCO fame and produced by Sun Pictures was announced recently with an amazing video that hinted that this movie will be a high octane action film along with a kickass track by Anirudh. The latest buzz is that Thalapathy Vijay is going to play the role of a car mechanic which seems to be true as cars are seen in the announcement. Let’s wait for the official announcement.

Surya 40 is becoming big

Sun Pictures started to give updates about their upcoming rural entertainer starring Surya and directed by Pandiraj. This is their second association after Pasanga 2. Sun pictures announced that D Imman is going to score for Surya 40 which marks his first collaboration with Surya. It was also announced that Gang Leader and Doctor fame Priyanka Arul Mohan will play the role of female role and Veteran actor Sathyaraj will play a crucial role. Will the Kadaikutty Singam magic repeat? Let’s wait and see.

Nenjam Marappadhillai – Is it theatrical or OTT release?

Nenjam Marappadhillai directed by Selvaraghavan is one of the most anticipated tamil movies even after a long delay. The reason for the huge anticipation is that fans are intrigued to see Selvaraghavan’s take on horror movies and also Yuvan’s astounding album.

The good news is that Nenjam Marappadhillai is going to release soon but there is no clarification whether it is a theatrical release or OTT premier. Personally I want a theatrical release especially to experience Yuvan’s Good, Bad and Ugly track to the fullest.

Vetrimaran is currently shooting his next movie starring Soori in a remote village where is there is only little electricity facility. Vetrimaran is shooting the movie in I phone 12 pro max camera which is quite interesting. Maestro Illayaraja is scoring music for this movie. Versatile king Vijay Sethupathi is playing a pivotal role in this movie. He is said to play the role of Soori's father. This man can play any role. Simply awesome. 

Bala and A R Rahman – An unique combo

Director Bala who badly wanted to give a big comeback is planning a multistarrer starring Udhayanidhi Stalin, Atharva and G V Prakash. The most exciting thing about this project is that A R Rahman is scoring for a Bala film. It is being said that Bala narrated the script to A R Rahman through conference call. An exciting combo was born through Zoom meeting.

Sarkaru Vaari Paata – Super Star eying for another sankranthi blockbuster

Right from the announcement of Sarkaru Vaari Paata, the buzz around movie is big as Mahesh Babu is joining hands with fresh names like Director Parasuram of Geetha Govindam fame and actress Keerthy Suresh. SS Thaman is scoring for Mahesh Babu after a long time. His electrifying bgm in the short glimpse which was released earlier attracted fans.

Now Mythri movie makers who were bankrolling this big budget entertainer announced that this film will release on Sankranthi 2020. Its  indeed a huge gap. Acharya teaser released recently promised to bring back vintage Megastar Chiranjeevi. Director Koratala Shiva known for delivering mass entertainers with strong message is expected to retain his magic in Acharya. Apart from all these things, I am more excited to listen mass tracks of Mani Sharma garu. Acharya will hit theatres on as announced by Ram Charan who is producing the movie. Meanwhile Megastar is getting ready for his next with director Mohan Raja which is an official remake of Malayalam blockbuster Lucifer.

KGF Chapter 2 – Rocky bhai to arrive on 16^th July

After breaking many records in YouTube, Rocky bhai is set to blast the box office from July 16. Directed by Prasanth Neel, this Pan indian extravaganza will surely teleport us to Naraachi. Sanjay Dutt completed KGF Chapter 2 shoot after undergoing cancer treatment who is playing the role of Adheera.
